ABOUT

Tia Batelli is a fibers artist whose focus lies in surface and print and pattern design.  It is important to her that her hand is evident in all of her work, therefore her designs all begin through methods of drawing with various mediums such as gouache, watercolor, ink, graphite and collage.  She gathers inspiration daily, from many sources, but especially enjoys nature and architecture.  In architecture, she is drawn to the contrasts of man-made versus natural elements and  the dynamic lines that structures form. She is enamored with color in nature, the simple nuances of natural textures and the beauty the cycles of nature create.  She strives to create designs that are interesting in both line and texture.

Tia studied Fibers at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) . She currently resides in New Jersey is interested in opportunities where she can use her ever growing set of design skills in exciting ways.
